A leading law firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Real Estate practice group in its New York office. The ideal candidate will bring excellent academic credentials, prior experience in a law firm or similar environment, and superior writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.

The role calls for at least two years of experience representing lenders in the origination of large, structured commercial real estate finance transactions. Candidates should have strong project management skills and be comfortable coordinating complex, multi-party deals — managing closing checklists, overseeing due diligence, and working closely with paralegals and other members of the deal team. Experience with mezzanine loans, preferred equity, asset management, or loan workouts is a plus. The firm is especially interested in candidates with the ambition, drive, and team orientation to help grow and support its national real estate finance practice, along with the ability to navigate complex subject matter quickly and effectively.

A JD and active bar admission in the jurisdiction where the candidate intends to practice are required. Salary ranges from $235,000 to $385,000 annually, depending on experience, with a discretionary bonus potentially available based on performance.
